HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR SPECIAL LOAN OF £3,250.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in this behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it enabling, the Hawke’s Bay County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for repayment of the principal by instalments and the payment of the interest in respect to a loan of £3,250, authorized to be raised by the said Council by a poll of ratepayers of that portion of the Hawke’s Bay County, described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter called “the Westshore Water-supply District”), taken on the 8th day of June, 1928, under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the installing of a domestic water-supply within the Westshore Water-supply District, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and four-fifths of a penny in the pound (£1) upon all rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) within the Westshore Water-supply District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Hawke’s Bay and comprising part of Westshore Township and Westshore Extension Numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the western side of the Main North Road at a point where the northern boundary of Section 152 produced west would intersect the high-water mark of the Inner Harbour; thence bounded on the south-west, south, and east by the high-water mark of the said Inner Harbour to the end of the Western Pier; thence bounded on the north, east, and north-east by the high-water mark of the Outer Harbour to a point where the northern boundary of Section 152 produced east would intersect the said high-water mark of the Outer Harbour: thence on the north by the said northern boundary of Section 152, produced east and west, to the commencing-point.
