Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 17, Block VIII, Hautapu Survey District: Area, 12 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of August, 1928.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CURIO BAY SCENIC RESERVE.

ALL that area between high and low water marks, containing by admeasurement 12 acres, more or less, being Section 19, Block VIII, Waikawa Survey District. Bounded towards the west, north, and east generally by the road reserve adjoining Curio Bay and Section 9, Block VIII, Waikawa Survey District; and towards the south by the ocean, 1240 links and 1830 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/262, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of August, 1928.

Proclaiming Road-lines laid out through Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 78b and No. 80b Blocks, Auckland Land District, to be Public Roads.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto were, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, duly laid off as road-lines in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act :

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-lines as public roads has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads.

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as roads :—

A. R. P. Portion of
37 3 27 Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 78B Block, situated in Blocks VIII and IX, Ongarue Survey District.
50 3 13 Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 80B Block, situated in Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Ongarue Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1530, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2259, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of August, 1928.
