Trustees for Public Cemeteries appointed.—(H. 2/100).
Department of Health,
Wellington, 6th August, 1928.

His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance
of section 4 of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, been pleased
to appoint
Henry Thomas Pettit
to be a trustee in place of William Henry McKellow, who has
left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of
the Toka Toka Public Cemetery.
John Maxwell, and
Henry Townsend
to be trustees in place of Magus Jamieson, whose seat has
become vacant by resignation, and George Maxwell, whose
seat has become vacant by death, to provide for the main-
tenance and care of the Waikouaiti Public Cemetery.
John Atirau Asher, and
William Allen Cairns
to be trustees in place of Frederick James Hayman, J.P.,
who has left the district, and Robert Jones, whose seat has
become vacant by death, to provide for the maintenance and
care of the Tokaanu Public Cemetery.
William Dyer,
Roderick Donald Finlayson, and
Herbert Thomas
to be trustees in place of Alexander Alison, Donald John
Finlayson, and John Alexander. Finlayson, whose seats have
become vacant by resignation, to provide for the maintenance
and care of the Purua Public Cemetery.

approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations,
and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z.
Military Forces.
STAFF.
Captain G. McL S. Bruce, M.C., The Lincolnshire Regiment,
relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Area Officer,
Area 5A, and is appointed Area Officer, Area 5A. Dated
8th February, 1928.
Captain A. Le G. Campbell, Highland Light Infantry, re-
linquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 5A, dated
7th February, 1928, and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Bat-
talion, Wellington Regiment. Dated 8th February, 1928.
Captain W. G. Gentry, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the
appointment of Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Wellington Regi-
ment, and retains the appointment of Adjutant, Central
Depots, Corps of N.Z. Engineers and N.Z. Corps of Signals.
Dated 7th February, 1928.

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant F. E. Reeves, 5th Field Battery, is seconded for
duty with the Artillery Section, St. Patrick's College, and
becomes supernumerary to establishment of 2nd Field
Artillery Brigade. Dated 27th July, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant C. W. Fair, 18th Medium Battery resigns
his commission. Dated 30th July, 1928.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Southern Depot.
Captain J. W. Dow, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).
The undermentioned are posted to the Retired List, with
permission to retain their rank and wear the prescribed

Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 31st July,
