Notice of Change of the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Block XI, Puhi Puhi Survey District, Marlborough Land District.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a resting-place for stock, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such portion:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a resting-place for stock to a reserve for a gravel-pit. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 20·6 perches, being originally a portion of Stock-resting Reserve A, but now known as Section 26, Block XI, Puhi Puhi Survey District: Bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by a public road, 198·5 links and 291·1 links; towards the north-east and south-east by Section 19 (originally part of Reserve A), 856·7 links and 270·4 links, respectively; and towards the south-west by Small Grazing-run 112, 986 links: Be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of August, 1928.

Warrant authorizing the Wairarapa South County Council to construct a Bridge over the Ruamahanga River at Kokotau, on the Carterton—Longbush Main Highway (together with Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Wairarapa South County Council to construct the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost thereof, less such contribution (if any) as may be made thereto by the Government of New Zealand or the Main Highways Board, shall be borne by the Wairarapa South County Council and the Featherston County Council in the following proportions—viz., the Wairarapa South County Council shall pay ninety-two and a half per centum, and the Featherston County Council shall pay seven and a half per centum of such cost, respectively; and I do further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Featherston County Council shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinbefore prescribed, out of the funds of the said Council within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Wairarapa South County Council; and all such payments shall be made from time to time to the Clerk of the Wairarapa South County Council for and on behalf of the Featherston County Council.
SCHEDULE.
THAT bridge in the Wellington Land District over the Ruamahanga River at Kokotau, on the Carterton—Longbush Main Highway (together with approaches thereto). As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67055, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 13th day of August, 1928.
