Land proclaimed as a Street in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of New Plymouth described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A STREET.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a street : 1 acre O roods 39'94 perches.

Being portion of Section 93.

Situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District (Borough of New Plymouth), (Fitzroy R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 72454, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of August, 1928.

Additions to Regulations under the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixteen of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the regulation hereby made shall form part of and be read with the regulations made under the said Act on the eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-first day of May then instant, and shall come into force on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

REGULATION.

THE County of Waitemata is hereby declared to be a district within which, after six months from the date of the coming into force of this regulation, all sanitary plumbing shall be done by a person registered under the said Act.

Approval to build Bridge by New Brighton Borough Council rescinded.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor-General in Council did on the twenty-third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, in pursuance of the provisions of section one hundred and seventy-one of the Harbours Act, 1923, grant approval to the plan marked M.D. 5879 (in triplicate) of a bridge which the New Brighton Borough Council proposed to construct over the Avon River at New Brighton, and did authorize the said Borough Council to carry out the work in accordance with such plan :

And whereas it has been made to appear to His Excellency the Governor-General in Council that the continuance of such approval and authority as aforesaid is inconsistent with the provisions of sections thirty-seven and seventy-one respectively of the Local Legislation Act, 1927, and with the agreement recited in the said sections respectively, and it is consequently necessary that such approval and authority should be rescinded:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth rescind, annul, and make void the said approval of the said plan and the said authority to carry out the work in accordance with such plan.

Apportionment of Representation on Taumarunui Hospital Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-second day of the same month at page 773, and Order in Council made under the said Act on the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-sixth day of the same month at page 859, provisions were made with respect to the constitution of the Taumarunui Hospital Board and the election of representatives of contributory local authorities thereon, and apportionment was made with regard to the representation of such contributory local authorities: And whereas the said Orders in Council now enure for the purpose of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926: And whereas it is desirable to reduce the number of representatives of certain contributory districts in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the last-mentioned Act, doth hereby revoke the said Orders in Council in so far as they provide for the number of representatives of the Kaitieke and Ohura Counties respectively on the Taumarunui Hospital Board, and doth hereby determine that the number of representatives for the Kaitieke County on the said Board shall be two and the number of representatives for the Ohura County on the said Board shall be two, and doth hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect and the provisions hereby made shall come into force on the thirty-first day of August next, and doth further declare that one of the present representatives of each of the said counties shall retire from office on the thirty-first day of August next, which day shall be the day appointed in that behalf for the purposes of subsection five of section fifteen of the last-mentioned Act.

Applying Section 144 of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921-22, to Irish Free State.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection five of section one hundred and forty-four of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921-22, it is provided that where it is made to appear to the Governor-General that satisfactory provision has been made as between New Zealand and any foreign State or British possession for the mutual protection of inventions, designs, or trade-marks, the Governor-General may by Order in Council declare that that section shall apply to that foreign State or British possession as from a date to be specified in the Order in Council; subject, however, to such restrictions or limitations (if any) as the Governor-General thinks fit:
