Revoicing Portions of Proclamations setting apart Land for, and

-taking Land for, Road-diversion in connection with the Wel-

lington-New Plymouth Railway (Palmerston North Deviation).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909,
it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or

making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public
Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any
compensation in respect to the taking thereof, it is found that
the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose
for which it was taken the Governor-General may, by a sub-
sequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclama-
tion, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that part of the land set apart for
the purposes of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Well-
ington-New Plymouth Railway by a Proclamation made
under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the fifth day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 13, of the eleventh day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, page
586, and part of the land taken for road-diversions in con-
nection with the Wellington-New Plymouth Railway (Pal-
merston North Deviation) by a Proclamation made under the
Public Works Act, 1908, dated the tenth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the fifteenth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, page 1916 (hereinafter
termed "the said Proclamations"), and not required for the
purposes for which they were taken:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public
Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said
Proclamations as affect the lands described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

FOR RAILWAY.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 9.48 perches.
Portion of Railway Reserve in Proclamation No. 1589 (part
of 15s, Cloverlea Settlement).

FOR ROAD-DIVERSION.

Approximate area of the piece of land: 14.5 perches.
Portion of road-diversion in Proclamation No. 1611 (part of
15s, Cloverlea Settlement).

Situated in Block X, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga
County. (S.O. 2367.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39787,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured yellow and green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July,
1928.

vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Go-
vernment Railways Act, 1926, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
