Notice respecting proposed Abolition of the Orton Drainage District, County of Raglan.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments, praying that the Orton Drainage District may be abolished. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed abolition of such district which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice; such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 35 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the undermentioned person has been appointed a Ranger under and for the purposes of that Act for the Wellington Acclimatization District :—

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and its Amendment, fixing the Closing-hours of Grocers’ Shops within the Borough of Feilding.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the grocers’ shops within the Borough of Feilding, has been forwarded to the Minister of Labour, desiring that all such shops within the said borough be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at 5.30 p.m., and on Saturdays at 9 p.m. :
And whereas the Minister of Labour is satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, I, for and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, do hereby direct that on and after the 23rd day of July, 1928, all the grocers’ shops within the Borough of Feilding shall be closed accordingly.
The notice dated the 8th May, 1905, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th May, 1905, fixing the closing-hours of shops on Saturdays in the Borough of Feilding is hereby cancelled in so far as it relates to the shops affected by this notice as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.
