Gas-Lighting Amendment Act, 1927), the said Petone and Lower Hutt Gas-Lighting Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-nine two-hundred-and-fifty-sixths (69/256ths) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Board’s rating district, being the Boroughs of Petone and Lower Hutt, and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy extracted from the minute-book of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas-Lighting Board of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Board held on the 5th day of June, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following extraordinary resolution was passed on the 9th day of June, 1928, by the above-named club :—

“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the club cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the club be wound up voluntarily, and that RALPH RENTON, of Balclutha, Retired Farmer, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

THE MANGAWARA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in this behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Mangawara Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Mangawara Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and improving watercourses and drains in and providing outfalls for water from the northern subdivision of the Board’s district, and providing for the purchase of any necessary tools, equipment, machinery, or plant for the work, and engineering or other incidental expenses arising therefrom, the said Mangawara Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on £250—3/5ths of a penny in the pound on all lands classified “ A ”; 3/7ths of a penny in the pound on all lands classified “ B ”; and 9/35ths of a penny in the pound on all lands classified “ C ”—upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the northern subdivision of the Mangawara Drainage District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

J. Boase and Co.,” has been dissolved as from the 31st day of December, 1927.
