A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the roads and portions of roads in the Town of Dacre, described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of roads closed:—

1 0 22 Blocks I and II, Town of Dacre, Neilena Place.
1 0 22 Blocks II and III, Town of Dacre, part Neville Street.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Petone Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of January, 1928.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Petone Fire Board of the sum of two thousand three hundred and ninety-five pounds for the purpose of paying off a portion of a matured loan and acquiring land, subject to the following conditions:—

That the loan shall not be borrowed otherwise than on terms requiring repayment of principal by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of principal and interest over a period not exceeding fifteen (15) years:

That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan shall not exceed six pounds (£6) per centum per annum.

That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-money.

Closing the Queenstown Cemetery No. 2, Borough of Queenstown.—(H. 2/74.)

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of January, 1928.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor-General that burials in the Queenstown Cemetery No. 2 in the Borough of Queenstown, which said cemetery is described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued:
And whereas a sufficient cemetery not within the limits of any borough or town district has been provided and has been prepared for the interment of the dead as required by the Cemeteries Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Cemeteries Act, 1908, doth hereby order and direct that from and after the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, burials within the Queenstown Cemetery No. 2, in the Borough of Queenstown, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and, further, that the said cemetery shall, from and after the said first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, be vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Queenstown under the provisions and for the purposes of section seventy-eight of the said Cemeteries Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
QUEENSTOWN CEMETERY NO. 2.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Sections 1 and 2, Block XLVIII, Borough of Queenstown, 448 links; towards the south-east by Malaghan Street, 307 links; towards the south-west by a public street, 448 links; and towards the north-west by Turner Street, 307 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
