ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of May, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as the “said Act”), and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Martinborough Borough Council shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by His Excellency the Governor-General on the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, in connection with the proposal to constitute the Borough of Martinborough, and with the like advice and consent doth hereby also direct that the said Martinborough Borough Council shall defray all the costs of the poll taken under the said Act on the seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, in connection with the proposal to constitute the said borough.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Christchurch City Council.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of May, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Christchurch City Council of the sum of three thousand one hundred and seventy pounds for the purpose of purchasing, pursuant to a requisition of the Board of Health, a refuse-masticator and refuse-wagons, subject to the following conditions:-

The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding seven years.

The Christchurch City Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than twelve pounds six shillings per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of May, 1928.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Nelson City Council of the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of erecting bathing-sheds and forming an esplanade, subject to the following conditions:-

That the said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding twelve (12) years.

That the Nelson City Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than six pounds thirteen shillings and fourpence (£6 13s. 4d.) per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-money.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for street-widening purposes.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.
