The above lots adjoin the Town of Taylorville, contiguous
to the Brunner Collieries Coal-mines, and are connected
by suspension footbridge over the Grey River with the Town-
ship of Brunnerton, on the Greymouth–Christchurch railway
and main road, a distance of eight miles from Greymouth.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
Lots 4 and 5 will be sold subject to bridge-anchor easements,
and Lot 15 subject to right-of-way appurtenant to Lot 16,
as shown on plan.

subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests
Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule
hereto, being portions of provisional State forests set apart
by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the
eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen,
are required for settlement purposes; and in accordance
with the provisions of the said Act, such lands shall, from
and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional
State forests, and shall become subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Westland Land District con-
taining by admeasurement 16 acres 1 rood 13 perches, more or
less, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1660,
situated in Block II, Kopara Survey District, and bounded
towards the north by a line bearing 269° 59′ 30″ from Road
Traverse Peg XVII, 1899·1 links; towards the west by a line
bearing 30° from Road Traverse Peg IXA, 870·4 links; and
towards the east and south generally by the Nelson Creek–
Kopara Road: Be all the aforesaid bearings and distances a
little more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked
L. and S. X–98/40, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Also all the parcel of land in the Westland Land District
containing 777 acres, more or less, being part of Provisional
State Forest Reserve No. 1694, situated in Blocks XIV,
Mawheraiti, and II, Ahaura Survey Districts, bounded as
follows: Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 2700;
thence running on a bearing 73° for a distance of 5240 links;
thence 138° 30′, 11730 links; thence through Trig K, 14°,
8850 links; thence 291° 50′ to the Township of Granville;
thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries
of the Township of Granville to a public road; thence in a
westerly direction along the said road to the eastern boundary
of Section 2700; and thence along the eastern boundary of
said Section 2700 to the point of commencement: Be all the
aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less. As the same is
delineated on plan marked L. and S. X–98/40A, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Welling-
ton, and thereon bordered green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of June,
1928.

and B 1o Blocks, Wellington Land District, to be a Public
Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the Schedule
hereto were, by an order of the Native Land Court
made on the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-seven, duly laid off as a road-line in
pursuance of section forty-nine of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1913:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in
the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed
as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been
forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one
of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line
should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-nine of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, do
hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.

of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and
published in the Gazette of the twentieth day of October,
