NOTICE OF A PROPOSED PRIVATE BILL.
In the matter of a Bill intituled “A Bill to amend the Licensing Act, 1908.”
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the Standing Orders of the Parliament of New Zealand relating to Private Bills, that application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled at its next session on behalf of James Evan Haughie, of Auckland, Machinist, for leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled “A Bill to amend the Licensing Act, 1908.”
By the said Bill it is intended to provide that—

1. Section 77 of the principal Act be amended as follows :—(a) By omitting the word “wine” before the word “cider,” and
   (b) By inserting after the words “twenty per centum of proof spirit,” the words “and any wine of a kind which may lawfully be manufactured by the holder of a wine-maker’s license pursuant to the terms of that license.”
2. Form Number 2 in the Seventh Schedule to the principal Act be consequentially amended.
   A copy of the said proposed Bill and Petition will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Wellington before, or within fourteen days after, the commencement of the next session of the General Assembly.
