CROWN LANDS NOTICE.
Land in the Canterbury Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 21st April, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash at this office on Friday, the 25th May, 1928, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CHEVIOT COUNTY.
SECTION 20, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District (Mackenzie Suburbs): Area, 5 acres. Upset price, £120.
Weighted with £75, valuation for improvements, to be paid in cash.
Situated two miles from Mina Railway-station and one mile from Cheviot School and Post-office. Suitable for worker's home. Improvements comprise a rough cottage of three rooms, 30 chains of fencing, grass, well, and pine shelter. Property is served by a good road. Purchaser must repair cottage as required by Health Department before habitation permitted.
Terms of sale, at the option of the purchaser—
(a) One-fourth of the purchase-price, together with valuation of improvements (£75), shall be paid in cash immediately on the close of the sale, one-fourth part thereof within thirty days next after the date of the sale, and one-half part thereof in five years from the date of the sale; such part to bear interest at the rate of five pounds per centum per annum until payment, such interest to be paid by the purchaser at the expiration of every half-year following the date of the sale; or
(b) One-fourth part of such purchase-money and valuation for improvements to be paid in cash immediately on the close of the sale, and the remaining three-fourths thereof within thirty days next after the date of such sale.
No title shall issue to any purchaser until full payment of his purchase-money and interest (if any). In the event of the purchaser failing to make any of the prescribed payments by due date, the amount (if any) already paid shall be forfeited and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.
