Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Newcastle,
Otago Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of
April, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for cemetery purposes, being a purpose
within Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appro-
priated for gravel purposes, being a purpose within the said
Class I :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land shall, from
and after the date hereof, be appropriated for gravel purposes
under Class I of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by ad-
measurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block VI,
Town of Newcastle. Bounded towards the north-east by
Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the south-east by Crown
lands, 1000 links; towards the south-west by Section 8,
Block IV, Lower Wanaka Survey District, 1000 links; and
towards the north-west by a public road, 1000 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 2/534, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1908,
in Block V, Wakefield Survey District.

COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1908, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct
the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such
land being no longer required for the public work for which it
was taken.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold :
16 perches.
Being part Section 11, Block V, Wakefield Survey District.
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35360, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, and
thereon edged red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Revell Camp
Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of
April, 1928.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby appoint

The Greymouth Borough Council
to be the Revell Camp Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Greymouth,
as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be
held.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—REVELL CAMP DOMAIN.
RESERVE 46, Town of Greymouth: Area, 1 acre 0 roods
24·1 perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

Richard Sutcliffe Allan,
Morice Harry Collins,
James Alexander Grant,
John Hobson,
John Williamson,
James Gordon Wilson, and
Harry Wright
to be the Hatuma Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint
Saturday, the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Schoolroom, Hatuma, as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—HATUMA DOMAIN.
SECTION 29, Block I, Motuotaria Survey District: Area,
14 acres 0 roods 2 perches.

Prescribing the Term for which the Newmarket Borough Council
may borrow the Sum of £800, authorized to be raised for
providing Relief-works for Unemployed, and also the Rate
of Interest payable thereon.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and fourteen of the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, it is provided that,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or
in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has
been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is
thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to
a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate
of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not
specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof
has not been borrowed, the local authority or public body
may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance,
borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been
borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be
prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council :
And whereas the Newmarket Borough Council has been
authorized to borrow the sum of eight hundred pounds for
providing relief-works for unemployed :
