SECOND SCHEDULE.
Areas, in addition to those referred to in condition No. 3, excepted from the open season wherein imported game and native game shall not be taken or killed:—

Lakes Ngahewa, Okataina, Rotokawa or Bitter Lake near Taupo, and Rotoaira, and the land within one mile of the shores of these lakes.

All land and water within one mile of the Okere Wharf.

All that area of land and water in the Auckland Land District comprised in the properties of Messrs. Gee and Sons, and G. W. Vaughan, Esq., on the Rotorua–Maketu Road, including Lake Rotokawa and adjacent lands. (Note: The plan of this area has been supplied to the Department of Internal Affairs.)

The property of Alexander McLean, Esq., of Awakeri.

The property of John B. Lawrie, Esq., comprising 100 acres on the Taupo and Atiamuri Roads, near Rotorua.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Kairanga County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangaone Riding of the County of Kairanga, taken on the 22nd day of March, 1928, on the proposal of the Kairanga County Council to borrow the sum of one thousand nine hundred pounds (£1,900) for the purpose of renewing three bridges in the Mangaone Riding—namely, Derby Creek Bridge, situated on the Kairanga–Bunnythorpe Road; Bullocky Creek Bridge, situated on Napier Road; and Mangaone Bridge, situated on Robert’s Line.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 145; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 27.
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans.

THE following notices received from the Chairman of the Board of the Huntly Town District are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

HUNTLY TOWN BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Huntly, taken on 24th March, 1928, on a proposal of the Huntly Town Board to borrow by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, a sum of two thousand five hundred and sixty pounds (£2,560) for the purpose of providing the share of the Board towards the cost of re-forming, metalling, and double-sealing the Auckland–Hamilton Main High Highway through the Huntly Town District, a distance of approximately four miles for £2,560.
The number of votes for the proposal was 133; the number of votes against the proposal was 51; informal votes, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Huntly, taken on the 24th March, 1928, on a proposal of the Huntly Town Board to borrow by way of special loan, within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, a sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000) for the purpose of meeting the liabilities incurred in connection with the construction, furnishing, and other expenses incidental to the erection of the Town Hall for which loans were raised for £12,000 and £1,200, respectively, for £1,000.
The number of votes for the proposal was 121; the number of votes against the proposal was 62; informal votes, 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Belmont Extension No. 11, affecting part Section 48, Hutt Registration District, and prepared by Messrs. Martin and Dyett, Licensed Surveyors, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.
Now, therefore, I, Alexander Donald McLeod, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under my hand, this 31st day of March, 1928.
