Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Christchurch Drainage Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Christchurch Drainage Board of the sum of fifty thousand pounds for the purpose of making advances to ratepayers to meet the cost of connecting their premises with the sewers of the Board, subject to the following conditions:—

  1. That the term for which the loan is borrowed shall be not exceeding fifteen years.
  2. That the local authority shall make provision for the repayment of the loan by establishing a sinking fund of not less than eighteen decimal nought nine seven per centum per annum, calculated on the amount raised, the first payment to sinking fund to commence at the end of the eleventh year of the currency of the loan or any part thereof.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Teviot Electric-power Board borrowing by way of Bank Overdraft a Sum of £1,614.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Teviot Electric-power Board borrowing by way of bank overdraft, pursuant to section seventy of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, a sum not exceeding one thousand six hundred and fourteen pounds as at the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Hastings Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Hastings Borough Council of the sum of three thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a loan of four thousand pounds maturing on the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, subject to the following conditions:—

  1. That the term for which the loan is borrowed shall not exceed twenty years.
  2. That the local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund of not less than three pounds per centum per annum, calculated on the amount raised.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Stratford Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Stratford Borough Council of the sum of seven thousand and seventy-six pounds for redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a sum of seven thousand five hundred pounds which expired on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and being portion of a loan of fifteen thousand pounds, subject to the following conditions:—

  1. The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding twenty years:
  2. The Stratford Borough Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than three per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Timaru Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Timaru Borough Council has obtained, in terms of section fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect of a sum of one thousand pounds:
And whereas application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the said local authority to borrow the said sum of one thousand pounds, being the balance of the Number Six Street Improvement Loan of ten thousand pounds:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the sum of one thousand pounds by the Timaru Borough Council, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said sum.
