NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PETITION COURT TO EXTEND LETTERS PATENT.

In the matter of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921-22, and the Rules thereunder, and in the
matter of New Zealand Letters Patent No. 32642, dated
the 24th day of October, 1912, in the name of HENRY DROUTLEGE, for an Invention for “Improvements in and relating to Milking-machines.”

NOTICE is hereby given that I, HENRY DROUTLEGE, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in the Dominion of New Zealand, intend to present a petition to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, praying that the above-mentioned Letters Patent be extended for a further term : And notice is hereby given that I intend to apply to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, on Friday, the 20th day of April, 1928, for a day to be fixed before which the said petition shall not be heard : And notice is hereby given that any persons desirous of being heard in opposition to the prayer of the said petition must, before the said 20th day of April, 1928, lodge notice of such opposition in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and serve a copy thereof at the office of my Solicitors, Messrs. OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and section 59 of the Local Legislation Act, 1927, and of all other powers (if any) it

thereunto enabling, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

Loan of £200.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Otago Central Electric-power Board Advances to Consumers Supplementary Loan of £200, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of financing consumers, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second (1/32nd) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Otago Central Electric-power District, as defined in the First Schedule to the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th October, 1922, No. 76, at page 2852, and as amended by the Schedule to the Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th December, 1924, No. 80, at page 2859, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £5,800.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Otago Central Electric-power Board Electrical Reticulation Supplementary Loan of £5,800, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of completing reticulation, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven thirty-seconds (7/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Otago Central Electric-power District as defined in the First Schedule to the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th October, 1922, No. 76, at page 2852, and as amended by the Schedule to the Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th December, 1924, No. 80, at page 2859, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Franklin County Waiau Pa-Mackenzie Road Special-rating Area Loan of £1,250, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and metalling the Waiau Pa to Papakura Road from the Presbyterian Church corner to Mackenzie’s Landing, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Waiau Pa-Mackenzie Road Special-rating Area, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Mauku Riding of Franklin County and Waiau Parish of Auckland Land District bounded commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment No. 27 ; towards the south-east by Allotment No. N.W. 26 to the public road at north-eastern corner of said Allotment No. N.W. 26 ; thence across the said road to the south-western corner of Lot 1 on deposited plan No. 20405 of Allotments 47 and W. 48 ; thence towards the south by Lot 2 on deposited plan No. 20405 of Allotments 47 and W. 48 to the north-eastern corner of said Lot 2 ; thence towards the east by Allotment E. 48 to the north-western corner of said Allotment E. 48 ; thence again towards the south by said Allotment E. 48, Allotment W. 49, and Allotment E. 49 to the north-eastern corner of said Allotment E. 49 ; thence towards the west by said Allotment E. 49 to a point on the boundary-line between said Allotment
