Engineers Registration Act, 1924.
EXAMINATIONS, MAY, 1928.
ENTRIES for the next examinations in accordance with
the regulations issued under section 16 of the above
Act close on the 31st January, 1928. Entrance forms received
after that date cannot be considered.
Entrance forms will be supplied on request to the Registrar,
Engineers Registration Board, Wellington. Applicants should
state whether they require forms for Civil, Mechanical, or
Electrical Engineering.
Syllabus of examination can be obtained on payment of 1s.
Civil Engineering candidates are notified that Electricity
and Magnetism is now an additional compulsory subject in
Section A, and Theory of Machines is the alternative subject
to Theory of Structures in Section A. The subject Applied
Chemistry has been added to Section B.
Candidates cannot sit for Section C of the Civil Engineering
Examination until they have had three years’ responsible
engineering experience as approved by the Board.
Unless applications for registration have already been con-
sidered by the Board, all applications for examination should
be accompanied by an application for registration made out
on the proper form, or by a letter giving full details of the
candidates’ training and experience.
Examination fee must also accompany entrance form.

Regulations respecting the Blue Ensign of H. M. Fleet (Naval Reserve Flag).
ADMIRALTY REGULATIONS (ARTICLE 126).
WITH reference to clause 1 (b) of the above regulations,
as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51,
dated 29th July, 1926, the number of reservists who must
form part of the crew in order that a ship may be eligible to
fly the Blue Ensign will, for the year 1928, be seven.

Temoana Rock: Buoy temporarily withdrawn.
Position: Lat. 38° 41′·5 S., long. 178° 01′·2 E. (approx.).
Details: The lighted buoy will be temporarily withdrawn
for about three weeks on or about 6th February, 1928, and
will be replaced by an unlighted black buoy.
No further notice will be given.

NOTICE is hereby given that His Excellency the Governor-
General has, in pursuance of section 54 of the Land
Act, 1924, approved of meetings of the Otago Land Board
being held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin,
at 10 o’clock a.m., on Wednesday the 11th January, 8th
February, 14th March, Thursday the 12th April, Wednesday
the 9th May, 13th June, 11th July, 8th August, 12th Sep-
tember, 10th October, 14th November, and 12th December
during the year 1928.
