Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

Lot 2 of Section 2, Block III, Urutawa Survey District: Area, 243 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Lot 2 of Section 5, Block III, Urutawa Survey District: Area, 226 acres, more or less.

Section 4, Block III, Urutawa Survey District: Area, 79 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of December, 1927.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Nelson Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2, Block VI, Motupiko Survey District: Area, 100 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of January, 1928.

Closing Portions of Raleigh, Shakespeare, and Buccleugh Streets, in the Borough of Greymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of streets in the Borough of Greymouth described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of streets closed: 2 acres 1 rood 12·3 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Reserve 94, part Reserve 95, and Section 368.

Being portions of Raleigh, Shakespeare, and Buccleugh Streets. Situated in the Borough of Greymouth (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 2664.)

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70709, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of December, 1927.

Declaring Land taken for a Government Work, and not required for that Purpose, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of stopped Government roads declared to be Crown land:—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 3 29·4 Allotments 52 and 48, Te Mania Parish.
1 0 3·9 Allotment 52, Te Mania Parish.

Situated in Block II, Aongatete Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 23566/1.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60781 (sheet 1), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of January, 1928.

Declaring that Portion of the Right Bank of the Buller River in Block VII, Kawatiri Survey District, shall be protected.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and eighty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of the right bank of the Buller River described in the Schedule hereto shall be protected.

SCHEDULE.

THAT portion of the right bank of the Buller River, in the Nelson Land District, adjoining part of Section 72, Block VII, Kawatiri Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70884, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of January, 1928.
