borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been

And whereas the Te Aroha Borough Council has been
authorized to borrow the sum of one thousand two hundred
pounds for completing certain street-improvement works:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent
consent as required by the above-recited section one hundred
and fourteen, and it is desired that the rate of interest at
which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per
centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the
rate of interest that may be paid by the Te Aroha Borough
Council in respect of the said sum of one thousand two hundred
pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per
annum, and the said Te Aroha Borough Council is hereby
authorized to borrow the said sum of one thousand two
hundred pounds accordingly.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the
Kirikiri roa Drainage Board in respect of a Loan of £500,
authorized to be raised for Drainage Works.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of
December, 1927.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and fourteen of the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, it is provided that,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or
in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has
been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is
thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to
a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate
of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not
specified or determined, and such money, or any part thereof,
has not been borrowed, the local authority or public body
may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance,
borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been
borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be
prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas the Kirikiri roa Drainage Board has been

drainage works:

Alienation in favour of the Crown.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of
December, 1927.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby pro-
hibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order
in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the
Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Revoking Order in Council licensing Tuteuruoho Ri waka to use
and occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land below Low-
water Mark at Waikawa Bay as a Site for a Boatshed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of
December, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 50 of the
second day of the following month, Tuteuruoho Ri waka (who,
with his executors, administrators, and assigns is hereinafter
called “the licensee”) was licensed to use and occupy a part
of the foreshore and land below low-water mark of Waikawa
Bay, as a site for a boatshed:
And whereas the said licensee has applied to have the here-
inbefore-recited license revoked, and it is desirable to revoke
the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act,
1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him
in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the twenty-
ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
five, as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-eight.
