Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Mataiawa Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1927.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the

Lower Hutt Borough Council

to be the Mataiawa Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Lower Hutt, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—MATAIAWA DOMAIN.

SECTION 92, Normandale Settlement: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 4·2 perches.

Also Section 94, Normandale Settlement, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District: Area, 1 acre.

The Southern Side of Portion of Bowen Street, in the Borough of St. Kilda, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1927.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the St. Kilda Borough Council on the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven; the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—

“ That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, the St. Kilda Borough Council, as and being the local authority having control of Bowen Street, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the following and specified portion of the said Bowen Street—namely, the portion thereof fronting the subdivision of Sections 1 and 2, Block 21, Musselburgh ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the portion of Bowen Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE southern side of all that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, Borough of St. Kilda, known as Bowen Street, fronting Allotment 1, Block 21, Township of Musselburgh. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70440, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured brown.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Te Kauwhata Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 49, Town of Takauwhata: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 37 perches.

Partial Revocation of Order in Council prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto, but only in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

PART I.

ORDER in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 10th day of November, 1925, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th day of November, 1925, extended by Orders in Council dated the 11th day of October, 1926, and the 13th day of April, 1927, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st day of October, 1926, and the 21st day of April, 1927, respectively, affecting Tarawera No. 1A and other subdivisions.

PART II.

The parcel of land comprised in an order of the Native Land Court dated the 19th day of August, 1927, and called by the Court Tarawera X Block, containing 3,664 acres, more or less, and situated in the Tarawera and Pohui Survey Districts, which said parcel of land consists of the land referred to in the said Order in Council as Tarawera No. 9 and parts of the land therein referred to as Tarawera 6A and Tarawera 7 Blocks.
