PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,200, authorized to
be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling 115 chains of
Cussins Road, 80 chains of Whakahongi Road, and 42 chains
of Waiorongomai-Maungakawa Road, the said Piako County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny
and one farthing in the pound upon the rateable unimproved
value of all rateable property of the Cussins-Whakahongi
Road No. 2 Special-rating Area of the Piako County, com-
prising all that area in the Maungakawa Survey District, in
the Land District of Auckland, bounded commencing at a
point on the Waiharakeke Stream at the northern boundary
of Te Karamu B towards the north generally by such
northern boundary to the western boundary-line of Lots 1,
2, and 3 on deposited plan 14236, part Tatua-o-Haua No. 1,
and by such western boundary-line and northern boundary
of said Lot 1 and of Lot 9, Te Kahia, and eastern boundary
of Lot 9 to Lot 8, and northern boundaries of Lots 8 and 1
of 6, Te Kahia, and eastern boundary of 1 of 6 to the northern
boundary of the Pourewa Block, and along same to the
Waitoa River; towards the east by such river to the block
Pakarau A 2 ; thence by the eastern boundary of the Kereone
Block to a point 90 chains measured along same from the
northernmost corner of the block at the Waiorongomai-
Maungakawa Road, then bounded by a direct line from the
last-mentioned point to a point on said road opposite the
south-western boundary of Lot 10, Whakahongi Estate;
then by the road and western boundary of Te Awapikopiho
to a point one chain from the Waitoa River, and continuing
one chain from the Waitoa River to the end of a centre-line
parallel with the north-western boundary, cutting Lots 4
and 9, Whakahongi Estate, into two equal parts, and along
such line to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10, and along
same and the north-western boundary of Lots 10 and 11 to
Cussins Road; whence along the north-eastern boundary of
Lot 12 for a distance of 30 chains and across Lot 12 and
Cussins Road in direct line to the north-eastern corner of
Lot 8 on deposited plan 11402, part Maungatatapu, and by
the north-eastern boundary of such lot, and eastern, southern,
and south - western boundaries of 7, and south - western
boundary of 5, Maungatatapu, to the road end, and across
same and in a line parallel with the south-eastern boundary
of 3 (about two chains therefrom) to the south-western
boundary of Lot 4, which following and the south-western
boundary of Lots 3, 2, and 1, Maungatatapu, and north-
western boundary of Lot 1 to the Waiharakeke Stream, and
along same to the point of commencement: and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

Waiorongomai-Maungakawa Road, the said Piako County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence
and one farthing in the pound upon the rateable unimproved
value of all rateable property of the Waiorongomai-Maunga-
kawa Road No. 2 Special-rating Area of the Piako County,
comprising all that area in the Maungakawa Survey District,
in the Auckland Land District, bounded commencing at a
point on the south-western boundary of Lot 11, Whakahongi
Estate, 30 chains from the north-western corner of said
lot, following said boundary thereto; then towards the
north-west by the north-western boundary of Lots 11 and
10, Whakahongi Estate, and by the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 10 to the end of a centre-line parallel with the north-
western boundary of Lots 9 and 4, cutting said lots into two
equal parts, and along such line to a point one chain from
the Waitoa River, and continuing one chain from the Waitoa

River to the western boundary of Te Awapikopiho; then
thereby to the Waiorongomai-Maungakawa Road, and by
such road to a point opposite the south-western boundary of
Lot 10, Whakahongi Estate; whence across the Kereone
Block by direct line to a point in the eastern boundary of
this block, 90 chains, measured along such boundary from
the northernmost corner of the Block at the Waiorongomai-
Maungakawa Road; then north along the western boundary
of Pakarau A 2 to the Waitoa River, and by such river to
the southern boundary of Pakarau A 2, and along same to
the Kereone Block, and by the eastern boundary of this
block to the Morrinsville-Kereone Road, and bounded by
this road to Waiorongomai-Maungakawa Road, which along
to a point 20 chains from the junction of these roads, and
across Lot 12, Whakahongi Estate, to a line drawn from the
north-eastern corner of Lot 8 on deposited plan 11402, part
Maungatatapu, to the point of commencement, and along this
line to the point of commencement: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
