Section 3, Block XIII. Area: 112 acres 3 roods 1 perch. Capital value, £350. Half-yearly rent, £7.

Exempt from payment of rent for a period of four years, providing improvements to the value of £50 are effected annually.

Section comprises fairly good flats, broken by stony hills and swampy creeks. All has been cleared with exception of about 4 acres. Weeds are especially bad on hillsides. Only suitable in its present state for grazing.

In addition to the capital value shown above, there is a cottage valued at £100 on the section, and the option is given to the incoming lessee to purchase this house for cash or on an instalment mortgage under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, after payment of deposit of £10. If option not exercised Crown reserves the right to remove cottage within twelve months.

Section 11, Block XIII. Area: 196 acres 3 roods 23 perches. Capital value, £800. Half-yearly rent, £16.

Exempt from payment of rent for a period of two years, providing improvements to the value of £80 are effected annually.

Comprises flat and undulating land, mostly open, but badly cut up by swampy creeks. 160 acres has been felled and grassed. Blackberry very bad in places, and coming in thick on the ploughed land. Soil is of a volcanic loam. Well watered by streams.

Section 13, Block XIII. Area: 86 acres. Capital value, £130. Half-yearly rent, £2 12s.

Exempt from payment of rent for four years, providing improvements to the value of £50 are effected annually.

Section comprises fairly steep, stony hills, with the exception of 20 acres, which is good level country. Is only suitable in its present state for grazing. Soil is of a volcanic loam. Well watered by streams.

General Description.

These sections are situated within the Parihaka Block, about twenty-six miles from New Plymouth by main South Road. A daily motor service passes the block. They are within easy reach of the Pungarehu dairy factory, school, post-office, store, and township.

At the present time the sections are in a more or less deteriorated state, but with clearing and ploughing can be brought back into good dairying land. The land is well watered, and lies at an altitude varying from 300 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Soil is generally of a volcanic loam.

Notice declaring Road to be a Public Street in the City of Wellington.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and seven of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the road referred to in the said section one hundred and seven, and more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, on and after the date hereof, be a public street under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, vested in the Corporation of the City of Wellington, subject to the conditions set forth in the said section.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the road declared to be a public street: 25 acres 1 rood.

Being portion of Point Halswell Military Reserve and Sections 1, 2, and 3 (Military Reserve), Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District (City of Wellington), (Watts Peninsula R.D.) (S.O. 2139.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67792, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of February, 1927.

Notifying Land in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

Lake County.—Town of Queenstown.

SECTIONS 1, 2, 18, and 19, Block 38: Area, 1 acre 0 rood 14 perches. Upset price, £760.

This land occupies one of the very best sites in Queenstown, being alongside the Gardens and adjacent to the main road. It is in the best residential portion, well drained with good aspect. An ideal site for an up-to-date hotel.

Special Conditions.

The contract for sale does not include any fencing or other improvements on the property.

Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in Mamari Village, North Auckland Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a post-office, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act, as aforesaid, declare that the purpose of the reservation over the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 15, Mamari Village, Block II, Whangape Survey District. Area, 2 roods.
