Award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long-service Medal.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Waitemata Electric-power District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.

£80,000 Reticulation Extension Loan, 1927.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Waitemata Electric-power District, held on the 17th day of November, 1927, on a proposal to borrow the sum of £80,000 for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, and providing electric works, as defined in the Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, and for providing funds for the purposes mentioned under section 118 of the said Act, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 2,112; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 407; informal, 7.

As the number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal was more than three-fifths of the total number of votes polled, I hereby declare that the proposal was carried.

BUCKLEY DRAINAGE BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Buckley Drainage Board, held at Shannon on the 14th day of October, 1927, the following resolution was passed by way of special order and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the 18th day of November, 1927.

Resolution: That the Buckley Drainage Board hereby resolves by way of special order to subdivide its district into subdivisions, and prescribe the boundaries thereof, and assign names thereto as hereunder, as provided for by section 16 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908.
