And whereas by Order in Council dated the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the Gazette on the fourteenth day of the same month, at page 116, the powers of the Auckland Fire Board to borrow moneys were extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of thirty thousand pounds:

And whereas application has been made by the said Auckland Fire Board for further extension of borrowing powers, and it is desirable to grant such application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Auckland Fire Board to borrow moneys under the said section thirty-one are hereby extended so that as regards the said Board in lieu of the sum of twenty thousand pounds mentioned in the said section thirty-one shall be substituted the sum of thirty-five thousand pounds: Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Recreation Reserves in Wellington Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of November, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserves shall hereafter be known as the Mataiawa Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.


SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 92, Normandale Settlement: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 4·2 perches.

Also Section 94, Normandale Settlement, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District: Area, 1 acre.

The Western Side of Portion of Nelson Street, in the Borough of Petone, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of November, 1927.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz.:

“That the Petone Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the western side of that portion of Nelson Street fronting the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 13, folio 101, Wellington Registry”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Nelson Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of Nelson Street situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Petone, fronting part Section 5, Hutt District, being part Lots 2, 4, and 6, and Lots 8, 10, 12, and 14, D.P. 79; as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67486, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Western Side of Portion of Bayfield Road in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of November, 1927.

Present:

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz.:

“That the Auckland City Council, having control of Bayfield Road, Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said street fronting Lots 6, 7, and 8 of Allotment 24, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Bayfield Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Bayfield Road, fronting Lots 6, 7, and 8, D.P. 8356, being part Allotment 24, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69753, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
