IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the KING SOLOMON CONSOLIDATED GOLD-MINES, LTD., held at the office of the company, 403 Southern Cross Buildings, Auckland, on Thursday, the 20th of October, 1927, the following resolutions were passed :—
- That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and it is advisable that the company go into voluntary liquidation, and, in addition, to appoint a Liquidator for the purpose.
- That MR. WILLIAM VALENTINE WORTH, of Chambers, Worth and Chambers, Public Accountants and Auditors, Auckland, be appointed Liquidator in lieu of Mr. A. R. OSBORNE.

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
———
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Lower Hutt Borough Relief of Unemployment No. 2 Loan of £2,900, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking the following public works for the relief of unemployment—namely, c earing, rough formation, and grading, and kerbing and channelling in portions of the undernoted streets—Brunswick Street, Fry’s Lane, Heke Street, Laing’s Road, Waterloo Road, Wainui Road, and Woburn Road—the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-seven four-hundredths (37/400ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
———
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reforming, widening, culverting, and metalling portion of Hunt’s Road, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Hunt’s Road Special-rating District, comprising part Section 8 (60 acres) ; part Section 10 (51 acres 2 roods 29 perches) ; Sections 9, 11, 12, and 13, part Lot 1, Kinohaku East 4b 3 (100 acres) ; Kinohaku East 4c No. 1 ; 4c No. 2 ; part Puketiti 5A (100 acres) ; part Puketiti 5H (100 acres) ; all in Block XVI, Maungamangero Survey District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders in the above-named company, held on the 25th day of October, 1927, the following special resolutions were passed, and confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting held on the 9th day of November, 1927 :—
“ That the Te Kawa Town Hall Company, Limited, be voluntarily wound up.”
“ That Mr. JAMES GLADWIN WYNYARD be appointed Liquidator.”

IN accordance with the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that the poll of ratepayers of the Tauhei Drainage District on the proposal to adopt the system of rating on the basis of the unimproved value within the said Tauhei Drainage District, held on the 16th day of November, 1927, resulted as follows : For the proposal, 35 votes ; against the proposal, nil.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of KOEKE SAWMILLS, LIMITED, a company incorporated under the above Act, having its registered office at Koeke, near Mataroa.
BY an order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Ostler in the above matter, dated the 16th day of November, 1927, on the petition of RICHARD CLEAVER, of Taihape, Farmer, and GEORGE CARLEY DUNHAM, of Mataroa, Carrier, it was ordered—
- That Koeke Sawmills, Limited, be wound up by the Court under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.
- That CLARENCE MASTERS, Deputy Official Assignee at Taihape, be and he is hereby appointed Official Liquidator.
- That the costs and disbursements of the petitioners be allowed according to the scale set out in the winding-up rules made under the said Act, and be paid by the Official Liquidator in priority to other claims.
