NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand made at Napier on the 10th day
of November, 1927, the special resolution entered in the
minute-book of the company on the 25th day of October, 1927,
whereby the capital of the company was reduced from forty
thousand pounds (£40,000) to four thousand pounds (£4,000)
was confirmed, and that the capital of the company is hence-
forth four thousand pounds (£4,000).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders of the above company, held
at Little River on 17th October, 1927, the following extra-
ordinary resolution was carried :-
"That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that
the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its
business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and
that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
ARTHUR DOUGLAS FORD, of Christchurch, Company Manager,
be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such
winding-up.

KOWAI COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Counties Act, 1920, and the amendments thereof.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Kowai County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, drainage
works for the purpose of more effectively dealing with waters
in streams, drains, and depressions in the lands and roads in
the vicinity of the junction of Stanton Road and Douglas Road
in the said county, and also dealing with surface-water and
storm-water in the vicinity of such junction and for drainage
purposes generally--and for the purpose of such public work
the lands in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken ;
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Kowai County Council, situate at Balcairn, and is open for
inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office
hours. All persons affected by or having any well-grounded
objection to the execution of such work or the taking of the
said land are required to set forth in writing such objections,
and forward such writing within forty days from the first
publication of this notice to the Kowai County Council at its
public office, situate as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land situate in the Kowai County being
Rural Section 22881 and part of Rural Section 6952, part of
the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 304, folio 5,
recorded in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christ-
church, and situate in Block XII of the Grey Survey District,
and containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 10 perches,
more or less, as the same is more particularly delineated on the
said plan, and therein coloured pink.

MITED, a private company incorporated under the said
Act.
A T a meeting of the members of the above-named company
held on the 17th day of October, 1927, it was resolved :-
"That the company be wound up voluntarily as from the
3rd day of November, 1927, and that HAROLD BOOTH, of
Dunedin, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes
of such winding-up."

   Acts, to execute a certain public work--namely, the approaches
   to the Limestone Bridge-and for the purposes of such public
   work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required
   to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan
   of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public
   office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Seddon, and
   is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
   office hours.
   All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
   or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded
   objections te the execution of the said public work or to the
   taking of the said lands must state their objections in
   writing, and send the same within forty days from the first
   publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council
   Chambers.
