thence eastward in a direct line to the sea at Castlepoint,
thence northward along the coast to the Waimata River,
thence in a direct line westward to Palmerston North, thence
along the railway-line to Paekakariki, thence southward to
the sea at Petone, thence along the coast to the point of
commencement at the Onoke Lake.
Also all that area within a line commencing at the mouth
of the Kawatau River, thence westward along the river to its
junction with the Pourangaki Stream, thence along the
stream to its source at the summit of the Ruahine Ranges,
thence northward to Motopuha, thence westward to Te
Rotoiti, thence southward to Moawhango, thence to the
point of commencement at the mouth of the Kawatau River.
Areas excluded therefrom.
All that piece of land containing 6,500 acres, being parts of
Blocks VIII, IX, X, and XVII, Rimutaka Survey District,
and shown on the Crown Lands provisional map of the Hutt
County as a timber and water reserve (the said land being the
catchment area for the Wellington City Council’s reservoir
situated at Wainuiomata).

Open Season for Deer-shooting, Wellington Acclimatization
District, Counties of Featherston and Wairarapa South
(Haurangi Reserve).
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Richard Francis
Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 26th day of
March, 1927, to the 31st day of May, 1927 (both days
inclusive), to be an open season in the Wellington Acclima-
tization District for the taking or killing of the following
imported game—viz., red-deer stags and hinds—within that
part of the said acclimatization district described in the
First Schedule hereto, excepting the area described in the
Second Schedule hereto, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
-
LICENSES to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds may be
issued by the secretary of the Wellington Acclimatization
Society, on payment of a license fee of £2, in the form pre-
scribed in the Third Schedule hereto, and subject to the said
Act and regulations thereunder and this notification. Pro-
vided that not more than one such license shall be issued
to the same person. -
No licensee shall take or kill more than four stags, and
and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than
ten points. A licensee may, pursuant to a license issued
under this notification, take or kill an unlimited number
of hinds. Ball cartridge only to be used; provided that
no metal-patched or metal-cased bullet shall be used for
killing such deer. -
No licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either
himself or any attendant he may have with him. -
Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. -
Regulations as to the use of marks of identification of
deer-heads contained in section 6 of the regulations under
the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, published in
the New Zealand Gazette of the 7th February, 1924, page 437,
shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition
thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the secretary of
the Wellington Acclimatization Society, Wellington, imme-
diately he has finished stalking for the season for which such
“tags” have been issued, together with a statement of the
number of deer shot. -
Nothing in any license to take or kill red-deer stags and
hinds shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-
deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used
by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization
purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any
land excepted from the operation of the notification declaring
an open season for the district. -
Any person committing a breach of any of these con-
ditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area comprised within the counties of Featherston
and Wairarapa South, excepting that portion of the said
counties lying to the westward of the Wellington–Napier
Railway line.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
Excluded Area.
All that area of land in the Huangarua Survey District
in the counties of Featherston and Wairarapa South, being
Sections 29 to 41 (inclusive), 59, 71, 72, 75, 79, 83, 90, 93,
97, 98, and part of Sections 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 89, 91, 92, 94,
95, 96, 87, and 84 (in the occupation of Mr. John Martin
and Mr. Featherston Johnston, and known as the Puruatanga
Estate or Station).
THIRD SCHEDULE.
License to take or kill Imported Game (Deer).

, having this day paid the sum of £2,
is hereby authorized to take or kill four red-deer stags, of not
less than ten points, and an unlimited number of hinds, within
that part of the Wellington Acclimatization District described
in the endorsement hereon, from the 26th day of March,
1927, to the 31st day of May, 1927 (both days inclusive),
subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection and Game
Act, 1921–22, and all regulations and notifications affecting
red-deer stags and hinds made thereunder and in force within
the said district.
This license does not authorize the holder thereof to take
or kill red-deer stags or hinds on lands actually and ex-
clusively used by any registered acclimatization society for
acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public
domain, or on any land excepted from the operation of the
notification declaring an open season for the district.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.
Police Department,
Wellington, 12th January, 1927.
IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands
of the police at the various police-stations will, if not
claimed before Monday, the 28th February, 1927, be sold
thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be
obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in
charge of the district.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Assistant
Registrar dissolving a Society.
I, WALTER HAROLD FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar
of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as
it has been made to appear to me that the Scottish Society
and the Pipe Band of Wellington (Incorporated) is no longer
carrying on its operations and has become defunct, the
aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of sec-
tion 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

Boxing Association (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on
its business, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in
pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act,
1908.
