THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the New Lynn Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

NEW LYNN TOWN BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the New Lynn Town District, taken on the 20th day of December, 1926, on the proposal of the New Lynn Town Board to borrow the sum of five thousand eight hundred pounds (£5,800) for various streets improvements—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 116; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 83.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Ohakune.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 3rd February, 1927.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Ohakune and included in the County of Waimarino. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Special Order passed by the Greymouth Borough Council declaring Gorse to be a Noxious Weed.—Notice No. Ag. 2639.

THE following special order, passed at a special meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council, held on Thursday, the 26th day of August, 1926, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 25th day of September, 1926, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT the Greymouth Borough Council hereby declares Gorse (ulex europæus) to be a Noxious Weed within the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, in the district under the jurisdiction of the said Council.

Revoking the Appointment of Takapuna Borough Council as Licensing Authority for No. 2 Motor-omnibus District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, I, Francis Joseph Rolleston, for Kenneth Stuart Williams, Minister of Public Works, do hereby revoke the appointment of Takapuna Borough Council as the licensing authority in Motor-omnibus District No. 2.

Notice as to an Area in Hawke’s Bay Land District declared to be a Fire District.

State Forest Service,
Wellington, 24th January, 1927.

PURSUANT to section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I do hereby notify that, on the recommendation of the Director of Forestry and the Land Board of the district, the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared by me to be a fire district, and I do hereby further specify the period from the 1st day of November in any year to the 31st day of March in the following year, inclusive, as the period during which it shall not be lawful for any person within the said district, save pursuant to the written permit of a Forest Officer, to set on fire, on or cause to be set on fire, any timber (whether standing or not), or any undergrowth, or any debris from forest operations or land-clearing operations, or any grass or other specially inflammable material, without taking such precautions as may be prescribed by a Forest Officer.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—PUKETITIRI FIRE DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6,610 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Pohui Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Patoka Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 93, Block XIII, Pohui Survey District, and towards the west generally by the said Section 93; towards the north generally by Section 101, Block XIII aforesaid, the crossing of a road, Sections 95, 24, and again by Section 95, all of Block XIV, Pohui Survey District; towards the east generally by a public road, Sections 13 and 34, Block XIV aforesaid, a road, Section 44, Block XIV aforesaid, Section 11, Block II, Patoka Survey District, by a public road, the crossing of a road, and by a public road; towards the south generally by Section 91, Block II aforesaid, and Section 27, Block I, Patoka Survey District, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 64/3, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
