Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury Land District.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a rifle range at Rangiora, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the purpose of the reservation over the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed to a reserve for river-protection purposes. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 958, Block VI, Rangiora Survey District: Area, 20 acres, more or less.

Primary-education Endowment Land in Block I, Huiroa Survey District, Taranaki Land District, set apart as a Site for a Public School.

WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserve or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school (Huiroa).
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 55, Block I, Huiroa Survey District: Area, 10 acres.

Revoking a Warrant notifying Land in North Auckland Land District for disposal under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1924.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section three of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power enabling me in that behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in Gazette No. 71, of the thirteenth day of that month, page 3245, notifying Section 101, Block XI, Ruakaka Parish, as set apart for disposal under section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of November, 1927.

Warrant vesting the Control of the Awatere River Suspension Bridge, near Limestone Ford (together with Approaches thereto), in the Awatere County Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the bridge over the Awatere River, together with approaches thereto (as more particularly described in the Schedule hereto), shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Awatere County Council.
SCHEDULE.
THAT bridge in the Marlborough Land District over the Awatere River known as the Awatere River Suspension Bridge, near Limestone Ford (together with approaches thereto), adjoining Sections 5, Block XXIII, and 3, Block XXII, Hodder Survey District. As the site of the said bridge is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70391, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 16th day of November, 1927.

Appointment of Cemetery Trustees revoked.—(H. 2/63.)
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a certain Warrant dated the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and gazetted on the nineteenth day of the same month, appointing trustees for the Gillespie’s Beach Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
GILLESPIE’S BEACH PUBLIC CEMETERY.
ALL that parcel of land in the Westland Land District containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 1 perch, more or less, being Reserve 304, situated in Block IX, Gillespie’s Survey District. As the same is delineated on plan marked 2/169, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of November, 1927.
