These sections originally comprised the old Eltham–Opunake Railway Reserve, which has been subdivided so that the boundaries of the various sections are in accordance with the boundaries of the adjoining farms. They comprise for the most part good quality flat land.

Notifying Land in Taranaki Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

This area comprises portion of the closed road near Roto-kare Domain.

DESCRIPTION.
These sections are subdivisions of Crown land on the main road at Tomahawk, about one mile and a half from the Anderson’s Bay tram terminus and a quarter of a mile from Tomahawk Post-office and store. The sections are all situated on a good rise, and command a splendid view of the bay and beach, with access by a good metalled road. All good building-sites, with a fair prospective value.
TOWN LANDS.
Township of St. Leonards.
Section 85 : Area, 2 roods 3 perches. Upset price, £30. Weighted with £1 5s., valuation for five chains of fencing, to be paid for in cash.
Building-site situated half a mile from St. Leonard’s Post-office and a quarter mile from the railway-station, by a good road. Area undulating, with a light soil resting on clay formation.

The purchaser will be required to have the transfer from the Crown to himself prepared at his own expense, as soon as possible after date of sale.

Amending the Description of Reserves in the Auckland Land District.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that where there has been any error of description made in any notification of any intended reserve, or where there appears a great discrepancy in the area of any intended reserve after the same shall have been surveyed, the Governor-General may cancel any notification that may have been made in respect of such reserve, and issue fresh notification in respect thereof, with amended particulars and description :
And whereas an error was made in the areas of Allotments 475 and 486, Te Papa Parish, Auckland Land District, in the Warrants of the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in Gazette No. 39 of the fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and Gazette No. 51, of the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, respectively, reserving the lands for the development of water-power, and it is expedient to cancel the said notifications in so far as they relate to Allotments 475 and 486, Te Papa Parish, aforesaid.
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrants of the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, in so far as they relate to the said Allotments 475 and 486, Te Papa Parish, and do declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be the lands set apart for the development of water-power intended by the said Warrants.
