Appointing a Member of the Waitara Harbour Board.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-seven of the Harbours Act, 1923, that the office of any member of a Harbour Board shall become vacant if, inter alia, he resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Chairman or Secretary of the Board :
And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section thirty-eight of the said Act that when an elective member, other than a representative of a constituent district, vacates his office on the Board through the operation of the said section thirty-seven, the Governor-General may by Warrant under his hand appoint some qualified person in his place :
And whereas Frank Lucas, an elective member of the Waitara Harbour Board, being the representative of the electors of the combined district of the Borough of Waitara, the County of Clifton, and that part of the County of Taranaki within the Waitara Harbour District, has resigned his office as hereinbefore mentioned, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person as a representative of the electors of the said combined district in his place :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore recited power and authority doth hereby appoint John Henry Kibby, of Waitara, to be a member of the Waitara Harbour Board, as a representative of the electors of the said combined district, in place of Frank Lucas, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 7th day of November, 1927.

Captain J. I. Brooke, N.Z. Staff Corps, having returned from a tour of exchange with the British Army in India, ceases to be seconded, dated 13th September, 1927, and is appointed Adjutant, Southern Depot, Corps of N.Z. Engineers and Southern Depot, N.Z. Corps of Signals, Christchurch. Dated 1st October, 1927.
Captain J. G. C. Wales, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, having returned from a tour of exchange with the British Army in India, ceases to be seconded, dated 4th October, 1927, and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own). Dated 11th October, 1927.
Captain L. W. Andrew, V.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 8A, and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Taranaki Regiment. Dated 31st August, 1927.
Lieutenant A. W. Greville, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 9C, Blenheim. Dated 31st August, 1927.
Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 10A, Christchurch. Dated 31st August, 1927.
Lieutenant G. H. Dykes, The Lancashire Fusiliers, having arrived in the Dominion on exchange from the British Army in India, is granted the local rank of Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 16th November, 1917, dated 27th September, 1927, and is appointed Area Officer, Area 8A, and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Taranaki Regiment. Dated 11th October, 1927.
The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, having left the Dominion for the purpose of being exchanged with officers of the British Army in India for a period of two years, are seconded. Dated 2nd September, 1927.
