Gazette of the first day of December then instant, setting apart Crown land for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Settlement Lands in Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Crown Lands.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands acquired under that Act to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and which were acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall cease to be settlement lands and become ordinary Crown lands for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the lands described in the Schedule hereto, which were acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall be Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Rangitoto Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 3 acres 1 rood 13·2 perches.
Adjoining Orakei Blocks Nos. 1A No. 1, 1A No. 2, 1B, 1C, and 2B (Crown land).
Situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District.
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.

22/43/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2239, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of October, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as roads the land in the Motupiko Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
