A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a
new certificate of title in the names of ELIAS BUTEL,
of Balfour, Waimea, Farmer, and JOHN BUTEL, of Arrow-
town, Farmer, for 27 acres 2 roods 295 poles, more or less,
being Section 13A and part of Sections 40 and 41, Block VII,
on the public map of the Shotover District, and being the whole
of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 63, folio 156, Otago
Registry; and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the
said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that it is my
intention to issue such new certificate of title at the expiration
of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this
notice.
Dated at the Land Registry Office at Dunedin, this 14th
day of October, 1927.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a
provisional lease in perpetuity in favour of RICHARD
HERBERT NEWMAN, of Chatton, Farmer, for Section 50,
Block XXI, District of Chatton, being the land contained in
lease in perpetuity entered in Register-book, Vol 56, folio 105,
and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said lease in
perpetuity, I hereby give notice that I shall issue a pro-
visional lease in perpetuity as requested, unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same within fourteen days from the
date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up
of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
was, on the 12th day of October, 1927, presented to the
Honourable Sir Charles Perrin Skerrett, Chief Justice of New
Zealand, by Richard Cleaver, of Taihape, Farmer, and George
Carley Dunham, of Mataroa, Carrier, two creditors of the said
company : And the said petition is directed to be heard before
a Judge of the said Court at Wanganui on Tuesday, the 15th
day of November, 1927, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon, and
any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to
oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said
company under the above Act should appear at the time of
hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose ; and a
copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or
contributory of the said company requiring the same by the
undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

PATEA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Patea Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the
Patea Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the repayment of a loan previously raised for the construction
of an electric-lighting plant, the said Patea Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 44d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough
of Patea; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be
payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and the
Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment
Extension) Act, 1927, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves
as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of two thousand two
hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
providing for the relief of unemployment, the said Nelson City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eights
of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the
annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson,
comprising the whole of the City of Nelson as defined by the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1920; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
