Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for the “Best Sport” Art Union, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the organization and persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said organization or persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said organization or persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names), or addressed to the address in

the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve, under section 6 (a), Defence Act, 1909, of the formation of the undermentioned unit of the Territorial Force :—

The Otago University Company, New Zealand Medical Corps, with headquarters at Dunedin.

Award of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration to Captain J. H. G. Robertson, C.B.E., M.B., F.R.C.S., Edin., New Zealand Medical Corps.

Dismissal from the Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has approved of the dismissal of the undermentioned soldier of the Territorial Force from the New Zealand Defence Forces, under section 6 (b), Defence Act, 1909, he having been convicted by the Civil power :—

I, WALTER HAROLD FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Martinborough Lower Valley Telephone Association (Registered) has ceased its operations and has become defunct, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
