A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an experimental farm; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

Abolishing the Warden’s Court at Okarito.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of October, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Mining Act, 1926, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the Warden’s Court at Okarito.

Authorizing the Exchange of Portion of a Reserve in Belmont Survey District, Wellington Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of October, 1927.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto forms portion of an area vested in trust for recreation purposes pursuant to the provisions of section two of the Hutt Park Act, 1907, and being a reserve subject to the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908: And whereas by section seventy-four of Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is provided that the Governor-General may exchange any settlement land for any other land, and may on such exchange pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange, and the land acquired by such exchange shall be deemed to be settlement land: And whereas it is expedient that the portion of the said reserve described in the First Schedule hereto should be exchanged for the settlement land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and section seventy-four of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, doth hereby declare that the portion of the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the settlement land described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Borough of Lower Hutt, Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 3 roods 27 perches, more or less, being part of the land known as the Hutt Racecourse Reserve, part Section 12, Hutt Registration District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, and being the whole of the land shown on plan numbered 169/18, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF SETTLEMENT LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Borough of Lower Hutt, Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods
