2nd Lieutenant J. G. Gibbs, 4th C Battalion, is retired. Dated 5th September, 1927.

Lieutenant W. J. A. Morris, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 19th September, 1927.
Lieutenant W. B. Stewart, from the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own), to be Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 2nd May, 1923, and is seconded for duty with the 1st C Battalion. Dated 26th September, 1927.

THE following special order, made by the Woodlands Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and its amendments.

WOODLANDS DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
Special Order in connection with the Subdividing of the Board's District.
THAT the Board, in pursuance and exercise of its powers as provided for under section 16 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments appertaining thereto, hereby resolves by way of special order to subdivide its district into two subdivisions named Gordonton and Motumahoho Subdivisions respectively, the former being all the land within the Woodlands Drainage District lying to the west of a line known as the Confiscation Line and the latter all the land within the Woodlands Drainage District lying to east of the said line ; and, further, the Board, under powers conveyed in section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, and kindred sections, hereby fixes the number of Trustees to be elected for the Gordonton Subdivision as four (4) and those for the Motumahoho Subdivision as three (3), and that the meeting to confirm this resolution be held at 11 a.m. on the 3rd day of October, 1927, at the Board's office, 166 Victoria Street, Hamilton, from which date this special order shall become effective, and that the Clerk be instructed to take all necessary steps to have this special order put into effect.
Resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Board held 22nd August, 1927, and confirmed, after being advertised as required, at a meeting held on 3rd October, 1927. - Confirmed.
