A PROCLAMATION.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1923, and of every other power
and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the portion of public reserve described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of a Recreation
Ground; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of public reserve set apart:
22 acres 2 roods 25·62 perches.
Being portion of Section 32.
Situated in Block XII, Pourerere Survey District (Hawke's
Bay R.D.). (S.O. 1591, red.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70172,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
October, 1927.

section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir
Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the
portion of road in Alford Survey District described in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 3 acres 1 rood
9·3 perches.
Adjoining or passing through part of R.S. 18513 and R.S.
27148.
Situated in Block XV, Alford Survey District (Canterbury
R.D.). (S.O. 2003.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69989,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of October,

tion twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in
the City of Wellington described in the Schedule hereto.

vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Strat-
ford Main Trunk Railway (Ohura Section).

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 3 roods
25·3 perches.
Being portion of K4 2B 1A Ohura South, situated in Block
III, Ohura Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70156,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured violet.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
October, 1927.

Amending a License authorizing the Wellington City Council
to erect Electric Lines within the City of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
October, 1927.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, the Reserves and
Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act,
1924, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in that
behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
amend the license issued to the Wellington City Council on
the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
nineteenth day of the same month, authorizing the Wellington
City Council to erect, maintain, renew, and repair electric
lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes, by adding to
clause one of the First Schedule thereof the following:—
“Also all that portion of the Makara County, being part
of Sections 5 and 6, Porirua Registration District, and part of
Section 8, Harbour Registration District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70109,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.”
