  1. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1926, is £180,536 5s. 1d.

  2. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1926, is £47,408 4s. 3d.

  3. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of November last were debts owing to sundry persons by the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £91,071 3s. 4d; on estimated liabilities, nil.

  4. That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £10,350; other securities, £88,958 2s. 5d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash at bankers and on deposit, £13,272 0s. 3d.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Otaraoa Road Supplementary Loan, £75.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Inglewood County Council resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of interest and principal and any other charges on the said loan of £75 authorized to be raised by the Inglewood County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and any amendments thereto, for the purpose of forming and metalling Otaraoa Road, the Inglewood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third part of a penny (1/3rd) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Otaraoa Road Special-rating Area, comprising the following properties: Section 12, containing 187 acres 1 rood 6 perches; Section 5, 91 acres 2 roods 15 perches; Section 16, 118 acres; Section 24, 122 acres; Section 18, 460 acres; Sections 13 and 20, 240 acres; Section 21, 200 acres; Section 14, 6 acres; part Section 15, 76 acres 3 roods 15 perches; Section 25 and part 15, 247 acres 0 roods 38 perches; Section 17, 260 acres—all of Block XV, Waitara Survey District; Section 6, Block III, Huiroa Survey District, area 272 acres; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Ngatoro-Maketawa Bridges Supplementary Loan, £327.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Inglewood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £327 authorized to be raised by the Inglewood County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of erecting two concrete bridges on the Junction Road, over the Ngatoro and Maketawa Streams, the Inglewood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundredth part of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the area comprising the whole of the County of Inglewood, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be paid yearly on 1st August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Hawera Borough Nolantown Special-rating Area Loan of £4,000, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing and laying water-pipes in part of the Borough of Hawera—namely, the area described in the Schedule to Order in Council dated the 30th day of March, 1925, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 2nd day of April, 1925, at page 967 (which area is known as Nolantown), the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three (3) pence and twenty-two hundredths (22/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Nolantown Special-rating Area, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Subdivision 14 of Section 180, Patea District, and proceeding thence north-easterly along the north-west boundaries of Subdivisions 14 and 15 of Section 180, Patea District, to and across Burns Street to the westernmost corner of Subdivision 43 of said Section 180, Patea District; thence north-easterly along the north-west boundary of said Subdivision 43 to the southernmost corner of Subdivision 63 of Section 180, Patea District; thence north-easterly along the western boundary of the said Subdivision 63 to the westernmost corner of the land shown on plan 3600, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the western and north-eastern boundaries of the said land to the Tawhiti Road; thence south-westerly along the north-west side of Tawhiti Road to a point in line with the north-east boundary of the land shown on plan 2592, deposited as aforesaid; thence across Tawhiti Road to and along the said north-east boundary of the said land to the westernmost corner of the land shown on plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly and south-easterly along the north boundary of Section 1 on plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid, and the north-east boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of said plan 4202, deposited as aforesaid, to and across Subdivision 7 of Section 181, Patea District, to the northernmost corner of Section 8 on the said plan 4202; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-east and south-east boundaries of the said plan 4202, to the easternmost corner of the land shown on plan 3395, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the south-east boundary of said land to and across Ropata Street to the north-east corner of Section 22 of the said plan 3395; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of said Section 22, the south-east boundary of Subdivision 12 of Section 185, Patea District, and the south-east boundary of Section 184, Patea District, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 184, Patea District; thence north-westerly along the southern boundary of said Section 184, the western boundaries of Sections 184 and 185, Patea District, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 34; thence north-westerly along the southern side of Glover Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Subdivision 14 of Section 180, Patea District; thence by a right line across Glover Road to that point, the place of commencement.
