In the matter of the Motor-omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, and of a claim by LEWIS JOHN COHAM, of Gisborne, Bus Proprietor, against the GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL for £3,230 for the purchase of his motor-omnibuses and other property used in substantial competition with the Gisborne Borough Tramway Service.
IN accordance with the regulations under the above-mentioned Act, notice is hereby given calling upon every person having any interest in the aforesaid motor-omnibuses, and property connected therewith, of the above-named LEWIS JOHN COHAM, to furnish particulars as to the nature and value of such interest to the Gisborne Borough Council within thirty days from the date hereof.

UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that THE GREYMOUTH HARBOUR BOARD, acting under the powers conferred by section 11 of the Public Works Act, 1908, proposes to take as a site for dumping spoil dredged from Erua Moana Lake and for harbour purposes generally all those pieces of land situated in the Borough of Greymouth fronting Packer’s Quay, containing together 1 rood 23 and 4/10 perches, more or less, being Sections numbered 157, 158, 171, 175, 176, 179, 180, and 181, Block XII, Greymouth Survey District, as the said lands are delineated on the survey plan prepared by Henry Spencer Nightingale, and now lying for inspection at all reasonable times at the Board’s office, Gresson Street, Greymouth.
All persons affected are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the proposed works or to the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing to the Board within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Masterton County Wairere Road Loan of £800, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming, grading, and metalling the Wairere Road, in the Upper Tauru Riding of the County of Masterton, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one half of a penny (1½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairere Road Special-rating District, being described as follows :—
All that area of land in the Upper Tauru Riding of the County of Masterton, being Sections 19, 20, 21, Block IV, Kopuaranga Survey District, Sections 135, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, Lot 1 on deposited plan 954 of Section 140, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, and that part of Section 131, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, containing 30 acres, and bounded on the west by the Wairere Road, on the north by the said Section 20, on the east by the other part of the said Section 131, and on the south-west by the said Section 135. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
