Deer to cease to be Imported Game in Nelson Acclimatization District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 80, of the fifteenth day of the same month (hereinafter referred to as the said Warrant), made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), deer were declared to cease to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to portions of certain acclimatization districts :

And whereas it is considered desirable to amend the said Warrant in manner hereinafter appearing :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the said Warrant in so far as it relates to the Nelson Acclimatization District, and do hereby declare that on and from the date hereof deer shall cease to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to the Nelson Acclimatization District as described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded towards the north-west and north-east generally by Tasman Sea, Golden Bay, and Tasman Bay, from Kohaihai Bluff, in Block XIII, Whakapoaı Survey District, to a point on shore of Croisilles Harbour due west to the westernmost point of Elaine Bay; thence towards the north by a right line running due east to said westernmost point of that bay and by southern shore of that bay to its south head; thence towards the south-east generally by a right line to Trig. Station Y (boundary trig.) and by a line along the summit of the range over Mount McLaren, Editor Peak, Mount Duppa, and Saddle Hill to the source of the Heringa Stream; thence by a line down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Pelorus River; thence by a line up the middle of the Pelorus River to its source near Red Hills; thence by a right line to the summit; thence by a line along the summit of the range over Red Hills, Mount Rintoul, and Bush Cone to the summit of Ward’s Pass; thence by a right line to Trig. Station Top 2 (Mangatawai); thence by a line along the summit of St. Arnaud Range and the summit of the Spenser Mountains; thence towards the south-west by a line along the summit of the southern watershed of the Maruia River to Mount Haast; thence by a line due north to the right bank of the Inangahua River, and along that bank to and up the left bank of the Buller River to the mouth of the Eight-mile or Boundary Creek; thence by a line up a leading spur on the western side of said Boundary Creek to Bald Hill, and by a line along the summit of Lyell Range, and along the summit of a range over Mount Luna to Mount Arthur; thence towards the south-west by a line along the summit of the Western Ranges over Mount Peel and Mount Snowdon to Mount Cobb; thence towards the south-east by a line along the summit of range over Mount Domett and down a leading spur to the Tasman Sea at Kohaihai Bluff, the place of commencement.

Notice of Change of the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Borough of Rangiora, Canterbury Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of an area duly set apart as a reserve for a lock-up and other purposes of public utility, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the purpose of the reservation over that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 35·9 perches, more or less, and being Reserve No. 4154 (formerly part of Rural Section No. 385), situated in the Borough of Rangiora, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Pound Street, 168·87 links; towards the east and again towards the north by Reserve No. 4155, 100·8 and 85·87 links respectively; again towards the east by Ivory Street, 120 links; towards the south by other part of Rural Section No. 385, 255·75 links; and towards the west by Reserve No. 4169, 219·9 links: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/332, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in his Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a post-office, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act, as aforesaid, declare that the purpose of the reservation over the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 15, Mamari Village, Block II, Whangape Survey District. Area, 2 roods.

Notifying Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
