That, for the purpose of providing instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges on a supplementary loan of three hundred and ninety pounds (£390), authorized to be raised by the Awatere County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Awatere River and making approaches thereto, at a point known as the Limestone Crossing, Upper Awatere Riding, Awatere County, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen two-hundred-and-fiftieths (13/250ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in a special-rating area contained within the following boundaries:—

SCHEDULE.

All that area of land situated in the Awatere County, Marlborough Land District, containing approximately 252,715 acres, bounded as follows: Commencing in Block XI, Hodder Survey District, at the saddle being the intersection of the northern boundary of Run 109A and the Awatere County; thence in an easterly direction by the said boundary of Run 109A to the Penk River; thence generally in a southerly direction by the Penk River, the northern and western boundaries of S.G.R. 161 by the latter boundary produced to the Awatere Road, by the Awatere Road to the Hodder River, and by the Hodder River to the summit of the inland Kai-koura Range; thence generally in a south-westerly direction by the summit of the said range to the source of the Red Hill Stream, by the Red Hill Stream to the Clarence River, and by the Clarence River to the Gloster River; thence generally in a north-westerly direction by the Gloster River to the Carter Saddle, and by the main range forming the south-western boundary of Run 119 through the Barefell Pass to the boundary of the Awatere County, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 31st May, 1917; thence in a north-easterly direction by the boundary of the said Awatere County to the point of commencement; excepting from the above description that portion of Run 109B within the Awatere County, situated in Blocks XI, XII, and XV, Spray Survey District:

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,900, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the relief of unemployment, the said Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-four years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Saturday, the 29th day of October, 1927, to the election of two registered pharmaceutical chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, in the place of the members who retire on the 31st day of December, 1927, and are eligible for re-election.

Members will require to be elected as follows:—

Two members for the Central District, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.

The retiring members are James Charles Burbery, and William James Gillies, who are eligible for re-election.

Nominations will close at the office of the Registrar, 49 Ballance Street, Wellington, at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, the 11th day of October, 1927.

Forms of nomination may be obtained on application to the Registrar.

NOTICE is hereby given that the members of the above company duly passed and signed, on the 8th day of September, 1927, a special resolution to voluntarily wind up the company, and appointed the undersigned Liquidator.
