Godley Head: Alteration of Fog-signal.

Position: Near lighthouse.
Abridged description: Fog. sig.
Description: A diaphone, operated by compressed air, sounding one blast every minute, thus: Blast, 3 sec.; silent, 57 sec.
Alteration: The above fog-signal has been erected at a height of 270 ft., and will operate on and after 30th September, 1927, replacing the explosive fog-signal formerly in use.

AUSTRALIA.—SOUTH COAST.—INVESTIGATOR STRAIT.

Althorpe Island: Signal-station discontinued.

Mariners and others are hereby notified that the signal-station at Althorpe Island has been discontinued.
Previous Notice: No. 26 of 1924.
Position: Lat. 35° 23′ S., long. 136° 51′ E., on Chart No. 2389.
Charts affected: Admiralty Chart No. 2389—St. Vincent and Spencer Gulfs.

Dumping Duty on Indian Pig Iron.

[Customs Department,
Wellington, 20th September, 1927.

IT is hereby notified for public information that it is intended to levy, on and after 1st January next, dumping duty under section 11 of the Customs Amendment Act, 1921, upon pig iron the produce or manufacture of India wherever the actual selling-price to an importer in New Zealand is less than the current domestic value determined in accordance with the Customs Acts.

The dumping duty will be an amount equal to the difference between such current domestic value and the actual selling-price as defined in the above-mentioned section.

The Minister of Customs reserves the right to impose the dumping duty immediately if such action is in his opinion required in the public interest.

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Assistant Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, JOHN MORRISON, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Woodend Progress League (Incorporated), is no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
