Bounded towards the north and east by Lake Rotokakahi;
towards the south by Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 2A by
a line bearing 269° 43′ for a distance of 514·1 links; towards
the west by State Forest No. 7 (Gazette, 1909, page 550) by
a line bearing 359° 43′ for a distance of 7270·5 links; As
the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked
38/24, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 44 acres
2 roods, more or less, being part Block II, Tarawera Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the
Wairoa Road; towards the south-west by State Forest No. 7
(Gazette, 1906, page 2506); towards the north-west by State
Forest No. 7 (Gazette, 1906, page 1032): As the same is
more particularly delineated on a plan marked 38/16, de-
posited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres
0 roods 32 perches, more or less, being part No. 6A, Sec-
tion 2, No. 6B, Rotomahana-Parekarangi, situated in Block V,
Tarawera Survey District. Bounded towards the north by
State Forest No. 7 (Gazette, 1906, page 2506); towards the
east generally by the Kauaka Stream; towards the south-
west and west by the Rotorua–Waiotapu Road: As the
same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked 38/23,
deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres
3 roods 32 perches, more or less, being part Block IX,
Tarawera Survey District. Bounded towards the north
generally by the Ohineuia Stream; towards the east by
State Forest No. 7 (Gazette, 1909, page 550) by a line bearing
155° 59′ 30″ for a distance of 245·8 links; and towards the
south by the Rotorua–Waiotapu Road: As the same is
more particularly delineated on a plan marked 38/21, de-
posited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area containing 2 acres, more or less, being
Punaruku Island, situated in the western portion of Lake
Rotokakahi, in Block X, Tarawera Survey District: As the
same is delineated on a plan marked 38/24, deposited in the
Head Office of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued

to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the
Gisborne Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement
Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the area of Crown land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart
and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to
discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner pro-
vided in the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.
Lot 1 of Section 2, Block IV, Hikurangi Survey District:
Area, 905 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of
September, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924,
I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that from and after the date hereof the land com-
prised in the piece of closed road described in the First
Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endow-
ment for primary education described in the Second Schedule
hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being
Section 7, Block IX, Upper Waitara Survey District: Bounded
towards the north by Section 5, Block VI, Upper Waitara
Survey District, 4180·6 links; towards the north-east by
Section 8, Block X, Upper Waitara Survey District, 389·2
links; towards the south by Part Section 2 (E.R.), Block IX,
Upper Waitara Survey District, 3748·0 links; and towards
the west by Okoke Road, 116·9 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S., 20/316, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered pink.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District containing by
admeasurement 1,010 acres 0 roods 9 perches, more or less,
being part Section 2, Block IX, Upper Waitara Survey
District, permanently set aside as an endowment for primary
education by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of
1895, page 1866; saving and excepting an area of 4 acres
3 roods 31 perches taken for road purposes by notice in the
New Zealand Gazette of 1927, page 1428.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of
September, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sub-
section nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I,
General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in
the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto
being land adjacent to that portion of the public-school
site described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed
to be added to the said public-school site.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 34 perches, more or less, being closed
road, situated in Block XV, Nuhaka North Survey District,
and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Section
23 (school site), 204·5 and 181·3 links; towards the south-
west by a public road, 222·9, 31, 4, and 154·3 links; and
again towards the north-west by a public road, 111·9 links.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/6/489, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 36·4 perches, more or less,
being Section 23, Block XV, Nuhaka North Survey District
(Morere).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
September, 1927.
