Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

STAFF.

Colonel T. Mill, C.M.G., M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, Southern Command, and is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 8th August, 1927.

Major C. E. Hercus, D.S.O., O.B.E., N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Southern Command, vice Colonel T. Mill, C.M.G., M.B. Dated 9th August 1927.

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.

Major J. A. Wallingford, M.C., is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 15th August, 1927.

7TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (WELLINGTON EAST COAST).

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants to be Lieutenants :—

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.

Central Depot.

Lieutenant R. Wiltshire is transferred from the Central Depot to the Southern Depot, with seniority as from the 3rd February, 1927. Dated 16th August, 1927.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).

Lieutenant J. E. Connor, 3rd C Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 10th August, 1927.

The undermentioned cease to be seconded to the 4th C Battalion and are seconded for duty with the 1st C Battalion, with their original seniority. Dated 29th July, 1927.
