The South-western Side of Portion of Donald Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twenty-sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :
“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the south-western side of that portion of Donald Street beginning at a point 833 links from Karori Road and extending for a distance of 323 links, being the part of Donald Street fronting part Section 36, Karori Registration District, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District, or as more particularly delineated on certificate of title, Vol. 95, folio 282, in office of District Land Registrar, Wellington ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-western side of the portion of Donald Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.
THE south-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Donald Street, fronting part Section 36, Karori District, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69446, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Woodville Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “ the said Act ”), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than in anticipation of its revenue within the limits of its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council given after compliance with the provisions of the said Act :
And whereas the Woodville Borough Council is desirous of raising a loan of four thousand two hundred and forty-four pounds eighteen shillings, to be known as the Gasworks Renewal Loan, 1927, for the purpose of redeeming the balance of a loan of seven thousand pounds, which matured on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven :
And whereas the Woodville Borough Council has complied with the provisions of the said Act, and it is expedient that the aforesaid precedent consent should be given to the raising of the said loan on terms requiring repayment of principal by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of principal and interest over a period not exceeding fifteen years :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising of the said Gasworks Renewal Loan, 1927, of four thousand two hundred and forty-four pounds eighteen shillings by the Woodville Borough Council on terms requiring repayment of principal by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of principal and interest over a period not exceeding fifteen years.

Revoking the Vesting of Control of Portion of the Hanmer Thermal-springs Reserve, Canterbury Land District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the Gazette of the twelfth day of that month, the control of certain reserves was vested in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1906 :
And whereas it is expedient that the aforesaid Order in Council should be revoked over portion of the land described in the Schedule thereto :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council of the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, aforesaid, in so far as concerns the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Vesting a Cemetery Reserve in the Russell Town Board.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public cemetery :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Russell Town Board :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Russell Town Board, in trust, as a site for a public cemetery.
