Exempting certain Native Lands from Rates.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS under the provisions of section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, the Governor-General may from time to time, for the reasons therein specified, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any part of such rates:
And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land named in the Schedule hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority under the Rating Act, 1925.

HEREHERETAU B 2L Block: Area, 1,467 acres 0 roods 29 perches. Block IV, Nuhaka Survey District, and Block VIII, Clyde Survey District, Wairoa County.

Portions of Road in the County of Featherston exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Featherston County Council on the twelfth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the portions of road affected being described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :—
“Resolved that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the public road intersecting the block known as Waihinga Middle No. 75N, starting from a point on the western boundary of the said block Waihinga Middle No. 75N, and continuing to a point at the north-east corner of the said block Waihinga Middle No. 75N, excepting that portion of the road already one chain wide”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions of road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those portions of road situated in the Wellington Land District, County of Featherston, adjoining or passing through the block known as Waihinga Middle No. 75N, Block IX, Huarangura Survey District, excepting therefrom the portion of road situated between survey pegs marked IX and X on S.O. plan 91/3; as the said portions of road are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69716, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Portion of Beach Road, in the Town District of Kohukohu, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Kohukohu Town Board on the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, viz. :—
“The Kohukohu Town Board, having control of portion of the street known as Beach Road, Kohukohu, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the portion of the said street bounded on the north (commencing from the south-western corner of Lot 4 on deposited plan No. 8629, and part of O.L.C. 65, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, and Town of Kohukohu) by the said Lot 4; thence by part of O.L.C. No. 65 aforesaid (Kohukohu Town Hall section); then by part of Lot 3 on deposited plan No. 16137 (Oddfellows Hall) and part of Lot 3 aforesaid (Wesleyan Church) and part of Lot 3 aforesaid (T. F. Hartley), all being part of O.L.C. 65 aforesaid; thence by part of O.L.C. 65 aforesaid (owned by one McGechie and leased to one Cooper), L.T. 3329 and 4645A, to the south-eastern corner of this section; from thence on the east to the north-eastern corner of the library site by Beach Road; thence on the south by the library site, being Section 17, Town Kohukohu; then by Crown land shown on plan 20286 (blue); then by Lots 1 and 2 of part of O.L.C. 65 aforesaid on L.T. plan 11609 to the north-western corner of Lot 1 on said D.P. 11609; from thence to the point of commencement, as shown on plan by one McCarthy, surveyor;”
such portion of road being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Beach Road in the Town District of Kohukohu, North Auckland Land District, adjoining firstly Lots 1 and 2, L.T. plans 8629 and 11609, being parts O.L.C 65; secondly, Crown Land, being part reclaimed land, plan 20286; thirdly, Library Reserve, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 69086, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured yellow.
