THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Christchurch, Solicitor, are the registered proprietors, and evidence having been furnished of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue a new certificate of title in lieu thereof at the expiration of fourteen days form the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a new certificate of title in the name of WILLIAM TAYLOR WALLACE, of Dunedin, Clerk, for 24 poles, more or less, being Allotment 25, Block V, deposited plan No. 1746, Township of Tainui, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 176, folio 294, Otago Registry, and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such new certificate of title at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

Loan of £100,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of road works in connection with the Waterfront Roadway, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £41,812.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £41,812, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off and redeeming balance of the 1904 issue of the Auckland City Borrowing Act, 1899, of £10,000, Remuera Drainage Loan of £3,400, Refuse Destructor Loan of £18,000, and the Gray Lynn Road Formation and Drainage Loan of £15,000, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
