Amending the Apportionment of Representation on the Franklin Electric-power Board, and fixing the Date of the First Election of the Representative of Portion of Raglan County on the said Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-powers Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council determining the number of representatives of each constituent district on the Board of the Franklin Electric-power District, dated the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 68 of the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, by adding portion of the Raglan County to the constituent districts, and determining that such portion of Raglan County shall have one representative; and doth hereby fix the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the date for the first election of the said representative.

Amending Regulations as to Ships being provided with Wireless-telegraph Installations.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, regulations were made as to ships being provided with wireless-telegraph installations:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 54, of the twenty-eighth day of the same month, additional regulations were made:
And whereas it is desirable to amend the said Order in Council of the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, in the manner hereinafter described:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section two of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, by substituting the following paragraph for the last paragraph of the last hereinbefore-recited Order in Council:—
“And His Excellency the Governor-General doth hereby order and declare that the said Order in Council of the 25th day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, shall have force and effect on and from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.”

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of August, 1927.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS each of the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto has obtained, in terms of section fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect of the loans mentioned in the said Schedule:
And whereas application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the said local authorities to borrow the sums set out in the said Schedule, and it is expedient that such precedent consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.
