BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otahuhu Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the completion of a new street to be known as Lippiatt Road, in the Borough of Otahuhu; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Great South Road, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Great South Road.
SCHEDULE:
Approximate area of parcel of land required to be taken: 1·1 perches.
Being portion of Section No. Lot No. 4 on deposited plan No. 17719; coloured on plan, red.
Situate in the Borough of Otahuhu.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE TAWHAI TIMBER COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 1st day of July, 1927, presented to the Honourable Mr. Justice Adams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by JOHN SPIERS ROBERTSON, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 29th day of July, 1927; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairoa County Kahotea Special-rating District Loan of £700, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and bridging about 4 miles 20 chains of the Ruapapa-Waikaretaheke Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-tenths (7/10ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kahotea Special-rating District, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
Commencing at the north-western corner of Block XVI, Waiau Survey District, eastwards along the northern boundaries of Blocks XVI and XVII, Waiau Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Block XVII, Waiau Survey District; thence in a general southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Block XVII, Waiau Survey District, to its junction with the northern boundary of Section 6, Block XIII, Taramarama Survey District; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 6 to the junction of the eastern boundary with the Waiau River; thence in a general westerly direction along the Waiau River to its junction with the Mangaone Stream; thence in a general northerly direction along the Mangaone Stream to its junction with the western boundary of Block XVI, Waiau Survey District; thence northwards along the western boundary of Block XVI to the north-western corner of Block XVI, Waiau Survey District, the commencing-point—the whole area comprising Blocks XVI and XVII, Waiau Survey District, and Section 6, Block XIII, Taramarama Survey District.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
Loan of £500.
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing additional funds for works, buildings, land, and equipment necessary in connection with the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy within the Wairarapa Electric-power District, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound (£1) on the capital value of all rateable property situated in the Weraiti Special-rating Area in the Wairarapa Electric-power District, comprising the following sections: Te Weraiti Block D.P. 1552, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and Lot 1, Part 1, Taumatakaihuka A and B, as
